Indiana Legislators Who Voted to Remove the Power of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
Here are images of the final roll call votes from the Indiana State House and the Indiana State Senate for SB 1 in 2015.
This bill removed the power of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SPI) to chair the State Board of Education (SBOE). Since the adoption of the Indiana Constitution in 1851, the duly elected SPI has presided over the SBOE.
FED UP YET?
Remember to vote for the opponent of the people who voted Yea...That includes Basketball Bobby and Morrison...These guys are not friends of Public Education..
ReplyDeleteIt is a real shame that Smaltz voted in favor of stripping the power from Glenda, as his mother was a PUBLIC educator for many many years in DeKalb Co.
ReplyDeleteAnd no surprise that Kruse voted in favor of because he home schooled his children....therefore he should not have any say in the education department! Shame of both!!!!
This bill should be repealed, and everything Mike Pence did relative to the superintendent of public instruction's position and to the SBE should be reversed.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteI assume the vote was along party lines?
